"Augmented Reality" (AR for short) enables a real environment to be supplemented with virtual objects, overlays and the integration of explanations. The AR application enables experiments to be simulated as demonstration or student experiments in a natural environment with authentic representations that do not require abstraction to schematic representations. The presented APP captures real placeholder cards through the camera of a mobile device, which are converted into real experimental opportunities by AR.The ARX* app currently supports the topic of optics, whereby objects such as lasers, mirrors, lenses or prisms can be arranged in any constellation and examined under various questions. The physical properties, including errors and interference effects, are modeled correctly. The application should also be transferred to other subject areas. This enables experiments in AR that could otherwise not be carried out by the learners for financial, organizational or security reasons.
